ALTAR SERVERS
Altar servers at St. Augustine’s represent the youth and adults of our parish and assist the celebrant of each weekend Mass, funerals, Stations of the Cross, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and other special services throughout the year. Ages fourth grade to adult are welcome and should contact the parish offices
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Otherwise known as, LEM or Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, this devoted group of layman assist the celebrant in the distribution of Holy Communion to the congregation. Eucharistic Ministers also take Holy Communion to the sick in their homes, nearby hospitals and nursing homes around the Capital Region.
LECTORS
Lectors are dedicated to proclaiming and celebrating God’s living Word by reading the scripture at each Mass.

LITURGICAL COORDINATION MINISTRY
Teams of family or friends who prepare the church and sanctuary for Mass and other services.
SANCTUARY AND SACRISTY CARE
Individuals who provide service in caring for the sanctuary and those articles used for the liturgy such as vestments, vessels and linens.
USHERS AND GREETERS
Ushers and greeters are the representatives of our Church’s image to welcome newcomers and regulars to each Mass. They are ministers of hospitality, welcome and safety. They also facilitate the collection and offertory procession.
